Sparky`s Place in Astor

We stopped in here on the way to a conference and the food was delicious! I had the all you can eat fish which was the special on Wednesday and my husband had its the Sparky Burger with the cheese round. Everything was delicious and the service was great! I would highly recommend stopping here!

The food and service was great. Prices very reasonable. My friend got the swamp burger. That thing is huge!

We enjoyed our time here today. It's essentially diner food. I had the fried fish sandwich and it wasn't bad at all. My girlfriend had the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and said it was good.

Had the Swamp Burger and it was amazing! Split the double Swamp Burger with my girlfriend and couldn’t finish it. Split the brownie cookie desert 4 ways and it was also amazing! Give this place a try!

Great service, yet consistency in food declines during slower hours. Otherwise, can't get enough of the DELICIOUS Swamp fries and their breakfast. Omelets are on point!

This place is just beyond words. The best I have had that I can remember. Swamp burger is huge.Pizza is huge for a kids meal.Wish I lived in Astor. Never would cook again for myself. And the owner. She has a great smile and is just a very pleasant woman.Waitresses never let my iced tea get empty.Thank you all for a wonderful meal.

OMG incredible breakfasts! Huge veggie omelette and a fresh made chicken fried steak breakfast that melted in your mouth. Go on Wed night for AUCE wings! Excellent!

Great customer service and even better food. Portions are huge!!! We had a huge group and kinda swamped the place but they managed to get everything done in a timely fashion and with great service. I recommend 100%

Every time we are in town we stop by. And when I go I get something different and I never had a bad meal there. I would recommend this place to anyone!

This place is amazing for a small town restaurant, the staff and the owner are very friendly. Now the food is some of the best I have had, the pizza was great and the beef noodles my wife had was also very good. We will be going back when ever we are in the area. Take the time to make a trip to the wonderful little place.

We had an excellent breakfast at Sparkys. Great service and real corned beef hash not the canned stuff.

I found a hair in my food but it is pretty good. Honestly I would go their all the time if it wasn't so far.

Quaint little restaurant - we went around 10am on a Sunday and luckily didn't have a long wait, despite them being busy. The service was great the food was good. 👍

Sparky's is a great Hole in the Wall Restaurant to stop at. Often frequented by locals and traveler's as well You will never have a bad meal at Sparky's. Or at least we haven't. Their menu consists of a variety of foods from Pizza to Italian dishes to home cook meals like chicken fried steak. Locals know this to be one of the best restaurants in the area as evidenced by full parking lot on most days. Service is usually quick and friendly but can occasionally be a little slower when they are slammed. Food is exceptional at anytime. We love Sparky's and will continue to go there As often as we can.

A favorite of the local folks, the homestyle cooking won't leave you hungry. We witnessed many patron enjoying their meals. I had the "Sparky's Choice", beef tips over egg noodles. My wife had the "Bear" salad which she totally devoured. They also sell the Brookie.

Great food, but too many flies.

Stopped for breakfast after some scuba diving at Alexander springs. Got seated right away and the food came out quick. Waitress always topped off the coffee which was so nice after an hour in the spring. Blueberry pancakes were fresh and so was the corned beef hash. All in all a great meal and great service. Will be back for sure!

Sparky's was a very pleasant surprise! We were headed home from the springs and got hungry and saw there was a storm brewing...so decided to stop in wait out the rain, and grab a bite to eat. We were greeted with a friendly smile, great service...and a small, yet charming restaurant with GREAT food! They were so sweet, and took care of everyone during this freak storm. We ordered mango habanero wings, a burger, all with fries....which were fantastic!!! Like fries from the fair, fresh, hot, crispy. Big portions, good prices!!! We also got a brookie (OMGGGG TOO GOOD) on our way out..... simply delicious!!! Seriously enjoyed our visit there....will be back soon!!!! 🍔🍗🍟 I heard the pizza was wonderful....the menu has a wide variety of different things to order. Definently a win!!!

I would agree this place is arguably the best pizza in Florida. The swamp pizza is soooooooo deliciousness amazing all i want is more of it. Its so hard to stop eating. Like when youre full, but, you think u have room for one more slice! I love this place. Ive been twice and try to plan my drive through the area around meals, just so I can stop. We had a large group(10 of us)Friends from WV and they are still talking about how good the food was there. We had spent the day at Alexander Springs and this was in the plans before we left the house. I just wish it was closer but I also enjoy the drive. If you are going through Astor or just want to go for a drive, Sparky's is definitely worth the trip!

We enjoy Sparkys place. Very good food. Reasonable. Very homey atmosphere. Wonderful recipes . Owners experienced in good restaurant ordering and prep as well as management. Wings are great and Monday is all you can eat. Different specials every day of the week.great dessert. Nice wait staff.

What a great little place! Food is, of course, superb, and prices are reasonable. If you go there, you won't be disappointed.

Sat outside because we had our dog with us. Service a little slow at first, but ended up being alright! Good wings, patty melt, and love the onion straws. Good to have some pleasant temperatures and a soft breeze.

This was my first visit to Sparky's Place. This is a small local restaurant with a hometown feeling. I ordered the scrambled eggs, bacon, raisin toast, grits and coffee. My husband ordered the three meat omelette with home fries and coffee. All items were served hot and we're very tasty. Prices were reasonable and our service was very good. Yes... We will return!

There was a wide selection of different foods all with an individual spin on them. The service wasn't the fastest but the servers and management were all especially nice and helpful

Walking in, it was so friendly and family like. A guy waiting for his take out, generously gave me and my dad his table. The waitress was very friendly, and prompt. The food was so good. I had the cheese omelette with homefries and biscuit.the homefries had fresh bell pepper that complimented the homefries, and my dad had the western omelette with homefries and toast. They were awesome. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. I recommend the biscuit. Absolutely coming back. What a treasure.

I love their homestyle Pizza it is to die for. We thought the rest of the food would not be good because it was a pizza place... Boy was We wrong the shrimp scampi down to their steaks are just amazing. Not sure if their family owns but the staff there is marvelous...

We went here with some friends and were no disappointed. Staff was nice and the food was incredible. We will be coming back to test the claim of best pizza in Florida!!

We decided to take a different route home and stumbled across Sparky's. So glad we did. *Friendly, fast service with a smile.*Food was cooked just right and more than we could eat.(Fish dinner w/salad, chicken tenders w/baked potato)*Prices were very reasonable.We will be going that way again.

Excellent food, if you leave hungry it's your fault. More than enough food for two on the plate. Social distancing in practice, would like to see waitresses wearing masks but there is a safe distance from guests to service attendants.

I found this restaurant on State Road 40 near the Ocala National Forest. This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. The customer service and the food are excellent. I definitely plan on visiting Sparky's again when down in that area or close to it I will take a special trip the pizza was phenomenal it is definitely a Hidden Gem that you must stop and pay a visit.

Food was delicious, large portions & our waitress was wonderful! We will be back!
